CSC to support 2 first time Charities in 2010

February 1st, 2010

CSC is pleased to announce that The Stroke Association and the Bucks Community Foundation will be supported from any surplus funds generated by the production of Twelfth Night at Hall Barn in June. The Stroke Association is the only charity solely concerned with preventing stroke and works with stroke survivors and their families and carers. It receives no government funding and is entirely dependent on public support.

Under its Grassroots scheme the Bucks Community Foundation currently receives a matching government contribution against any donations received. The BCF typically supports smaller projects for the local community. CSC intends that its contribution will be used towards "creative arts projects for school age children".

Felicity Norrie, Vice President of CSC, said "We have had very good audiences for our productions, particularly in the last few years. This, taken together with the generosity of our hosts, the owners of Hall Barn, is what makes our charity donations possible. We hugely appreciate this continued support."
